Now that you have made the choice to come to SD Loans & Leasing we thought you might like to know a little about the company's beginnings, its mission statement and its successes.

Sally Dixon established the business in 1999 working initially from home as a "one woman band". In early 2003, because of expanding business, the company bought premises at Woree Business Centre and refurbished them.

In late 2004, the company was expanding further and moving into new business areas. The company purchased a larger office in the same building, and extensively refurbished it. This office is where SD Loans & Leasing are located today.  The premises contain five offices, a boardroom, reception, kitchen and a back office area and store room.

During its lifetime, the company has diversified from its original business of equipment finance. SD Loans & Leasing now meets clients needs across diverse industries in the following areas:

SD Loans & Leasing cover the Cairns Region from Wepia in the north, to Townsville in the south, to Normanton and Kurumba in the west. Due to customer demand SD Loans & Leasing also has clients nationally.  Once a relationship has been established, arranging finance for anything, anywhere in Australia is part of our service.

With over 20 years in the banking, finance and lending industry, Sally Dixon brings a depth of experience to her practice.  She is passionate about helping people get ahead financially and goes to great lengths to coach and support clients through the demands of finance brokering.  She is a quick, strategic thinker and goes the extra mile for her clients.  She walks her talk; creating her own wealth and property portfolio.  Apart from owning 10 properties she also has a share portfolio, managed and property trusts and a self managed super fund which also owns commercial property.  Her professional merits rose her to acclaim in the banking sector and it was from here she launched her own business.

She is passionate about providing a brokering service that is based on integrity, honesty and has a solution-based approach to steer clients through the maze of lending options available in the market today.

Sally works with clients from various backgrounds.  She enjoys the friendly verve of meeting clients across North Queensland and looks forward to supporting your financial lending needs.

Sally Dixon grew up on a cattle property near Kidston in Far North Queensland and went to boarding school in Charters Towers. She worked for the ANZ Banking Group in Townsville, Charters Towers, Ayr, Cairns, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, and her last position was  Sales Manager for ESANDA in the Cairns region.

Throughout her working life, Sally has completed numerous courses, including a Diploma in Finance & a Diploma of Business Management. She also completed the UCCC course through the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia, and she is a Commissioner of Declarations.  SD Loans & Leasing is a Full Member of the MFAA (Mortgage& Finance Association of Australia) and the FBAA (Finance Brokers Association of Australia).

Sally is an active community member, belonging to the Cairns Chamber of Commerce, the Cairns Business Women’s Association and a member of Rotary. She is an active socialiser, attending most of the major events in town. You may recognise Sally from her photographs in the Cairns Post.  Sally was a finalist in the CBWC awards for 2005 as “Cairns Business Woman of the Year”.

Sally is an avid supporter of the racing industry in Far North Queensland, helping out at the Cairns Amateur Racing Carnival, the Oak Park, Mt Garnet and Einasleigh races.

Sally is married to Neville and she has a little dog called Bindi.  Bindi is a very important member of the staff and it is not unusual to be greeted by Bindi when you enter the office.

When Sally takes time out from her busy schedule, she enjoys the gym, scuba diving, snorkelling, ballroom and rock ‘n’ roll dancing, swimming, dinner parties and having a champers with friends.

SD Loans And Leasing Pty Ltd (Licence No 377282) and Sally Dixon Financial Services Pty Ltd (Licence No 377276) abide by a strict code of conduct in order to maintain accreditation with the Australian Finance Group. We have full membership of the Mortgage Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) and have access to the Credit Ombudsman Service Limited (COSL).

Complaints Resolutions

If you ever have any complaints about our service you should take the following steps

• Contact us directly to explain your complaint or put it in writing to us.
• If your complaint is not satisfactorily resolved within a reasonable time period, you should escalate the complaint to the State Manager of Australian Finance Group on 1300 650 611.
• If you still do not receive a satisfactorily out come you may call the Credit Ombudsman Service Limited (COSL) through the Mortgage Finance Association of Australia (MFAA). Commissions

SD Loans and Leasing will receive a commission from the lender for introducing your loan.
